Reach the local market with an FL area code

Are your clients enjoying the beach resorts, the warm and sunny climate, and the natural sceneries of Florida? Perhaps you have business contacts in the Sunshine State. Why wouldn’t you get a local number in a place that is home to Disneyland, Everglades National Park, Kennedy Space Center, Little Havana, and key lime pie?

Supported by the growth of a robust economy and a thriving infrastructure, many industries in Florida are strengthening their foothold – arts, entertainment, tourism, food services, real estate, sports, and more. Getting your business number into the hands of lively and culturally diverse communities is a big win.

Floridians are the type of clientele you want – laid-back, friendly, and strong-willed. They come from all over the country and the world bringing cultures, accents, and languages along with them. They are also the reason to choose a local Florida phone number and transform your entire phone service.

What are the features of a Florida virtual phone number?

  • Call Recording – Recorded calls are a great resource for training new staff, reviewing client information, evaluating employees, and more. This helps to improve the quality of your calls, boosting customer satisfaction rates.
  • Voicemail to text – Get your voice messages transcribed to text for easier access to your communication. The Voicemail to Text feature will make the audio more accessible, searchable, and quick to skim through.
  • MMS – Expand messaging to formats beyond text with the Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS), so you can share and receive images, audio and video files, documents, and more in your communication across all devices.
  • CNAM – When you call someone using a CNAM, your business name will appear on their phone. That way, they’re more likely to recognize who’s calling and answer the call.
  • Do Not Disturb Mode – With this feature, you can set your availability status to “Do Not Disturb,” so that our platform identifies whether you’re available to take calls or whether they should be redirected or sent to voicemail.
  • Call logs – This feature allows employees to search through a customer’s call history, meaning they can keep up-to-date with the latest client case developments and are all on the same page.

How can a Florida number help your business?

Develop a local presence

Local numbers will help you to develop a presence in Florida, making it easier for you to expand. Using a special area code will help market your business in the state by making you more appealing to customers in the area.

Connect with customers in FL

A business number with a Florida country code will help you to connect with locals, thereby allowing you to make a name for yourself in the state and helping you expand your business. It makes you instantly recognizable to clients.

Keep your personal number private

When you use a dedicated phone number, you can keep your personal life separate from your professional one. This not only gives customers a better impression of your company, but also allows you to maintain your privacy.

Use call forwarding to take calls on-the-go

With a phone number from MightyCall, you also benefit from our many other useful features. Forward calls to your cell phone number and work on the go; set up a call menu so clients can get the help they need; use call recording to review previous calls, and more!

Enhance your call response rates

By using a local phone number for your business, you can greatly improve your cold calling performance, and encourage customers to call you back. Using a professional contact number will make your clients form trust that will go a long way to boost response rates and expand your company.

Appear trustworthy and reliable

When you get a Florida phone number, your business instantly appears more trustworthy and professional to local customers, compared to if you used any old number. If they recognize your caller ID, they’ll be more inclined to pick up the phone when you give them a call.

Facts you didn’t know about FL phone numbers

The first FL area code was 305, introduced by the North American Numbering Plan in 1947. Unlike most states, the phone numbers in Florida overwhelmed the code very quickly. Two new codes – 904 and 813 – were added just six years after the first one. Since 1995, there have been several new Florida area codes added every year.

You can still get the original statewide area code for your business, but this will establish a presence only in the Florida Keys and Miami-Dade County.

Important points about Florida telephone numbers

FL area codes and other parts of a phone number

Any Florida number is 11 digits and consists of three parts. The three elements are formed in the same way, regardless of whether you want to call a landline or a mobile number.

A number example: +1-305-389-6091, where (+1) is the U.S. prefix, (305) is the Florida phone area code, and (389-6091) is the unique phone number.

Is a Florida local number or a toll-free number better for my business?

Whether you choose a toll-free or a local number depends on what your aims are. If you’d like to encourage your customers to call you, then a toll-free number might be best; this means your company will cover the cost of all incoming calls, taking the pressure off your clients. Here at MightyCall, we offer both options, letting you choose the one that best suits your needs.

Will people be able to tell that I’m not in the state even if I have a Florida area code number?

No, people will not be able to tell that you’re not in FL if you use a Florida prefix. When you use one of these codes with our virtual phone numbers, it will seem to your customer as if the call is coming from a number in Florida.
